We drove three hours from Portland to Seattle. Standing at top of the hill at Kerry Park, I took in the city’s skyline. Mount Rainier in the background is simply magical.
Lake Diablo at North Cascades National Park. The blue-green color came from the reflection of rock flour at bottom of the lake. Many hiking trails lead to various lake views. We chose Blue Lake trail to hike uphill. Along the trail as we gain elevation, patches of snow are slowly melting into creeks. At trail end, top of the hill, the blue lake, serene and peaceful, stretches out her arms to welcome the visitors.
We stayed at Bellevue, an upscale city next to Seattle. Food choices were ample, tasty and pricy. We tried Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ, Din Tai Fung and Me + Crepe. Love the foods but not the price!
